Road To A Fresh Start
Recycling My Pain
WHY GOD ALLOWED MY PAIN
1. He's Given Me A Freewill
2. To Get My Attention
"Sometimes it takes a painful situation to make us change our ways." Proverbs 20:30 (GNB)
3. To Teach Me To Depend On Him
We were crushed and overwhelmed beyond our ability to endure, and we thought we would never live through it.... But as a result, we stopped relying on ourselves and learned to rely only on God, And he did rescue us from mortal danger, and he will rescue us again. 2 Corinthians 1:8–10
4. To Give Me A Ministry To Others
He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us. 2 Corinthians 1:4
You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many people. Genesis 50:20
HOW TO USE MY PAIN TO HELP OTHERS
"Always be prepared to give an account to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect." 1 Peter 3:15
Live creatively, friends. If someone falls into sin, forgivingly restore him, saving your critical comments for yourself. You might be needing forgiveness before the day's out. Stoop down and reach out to those who are oppressed. Share their burdens, and so complete Christ's law. If you think you are too good for that, you are badly deceived. Galatians 6:1-2 (MSG)
Suggestions (1 Thessalonians 2:3–12)
1. Be Humble
2. Be Real
3. Don’t Lecture
But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus—the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God. Acts 20:24
