We dream of a church...
...where the Gospel in the overarching theme; where grace is received and given; where life change through faith is the norm, not the exception; where a love for God extends to a love for people; where joy saturates every heart; where people are one in spirit; where service is celebrated.
...where people find real help, experience real change and discover real answers; where marriages are restored and parents hearts are turned toward their children; where harmful lifestyles, habits, addictions and compulsions are forever abandon; where shattered lives are recovered and fresh starts are launched
…where the scriptures are exalted in authority, explored with expectation, communicated with relevance, received with anticipation and followed with passion; where the preaching and teaching is encouraging, positive and practical.
…where prayer is the underpinning and pervasive pathway for all we do and for every undertaking we pursue.
...where people are freed to attempt great things for God; where taking risks for Christ’s sake is a virtue; where creativity, innovation and excellence are honored, not feared; where all kinds of people serve God in diversity mutual love, encouragement, respect, and unity.
...where hearts burn for God’s global mission; where impact is made on lives across the street and around the world; where short-term volunteers regularly go out to serve worldwide and return with a global perspective.
...where the dream of nurturing new innovative ministries becomes reality; where past traditions form the foundations for launching new innovations, not a hindrance to impede them; where hundreds of men and women are effectively trained and actually entrusted with the work of the ministry; where partnerships are formed by networking with other ministries to further the cause of Christ.
...where children and youth are fostered and mentored in the faith; where they are made strong in their ability to serve the Lord and stand for him in their world.
...where God is worshiped authentically and passionately; where the music is Christ-honoring and relevant; where corporate worship is a significant event which builds and transforms believers; where worship communicates to the newcomer the greatness of God, the joy and security of life in Christ, and the emptiness of life without Jesus.
...where the issues of our culture are sincerely addressed; where the community expects to find a viewpoint both practical and Godly, a viewpoint of clarity and truth; where God’s people engage the community with courage and compassion.
...where growth is not only welcomed, but anticipated as the norm; where the heartbeat of every person is for outreach and inclusion, not for comfortable complacency and seclusion.
...where people connect with people, championing community and transformation within authentic and transparent relationships; where lives are bound together in small groups; where sharing and doing life together is the more than a tag line but a way of life.
